Welcome to Sero, the mobile application designed to improve mental well-being through engaging in daily activities. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information Collection

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:
  • Age and Sex: To tailor content and ensure relevance.
  • Behavioral Data: Interaction with the app to enhance user experience.

    • Surveys

    Occasionally, we may invite you to participate in surveys. These are voluntary and designed to improve the app or customize your experience further. Survey responses are anonymous and will not include personal health information (PHI).

    Therapist Connection and Data Sharing

    You have the option to connect your account with a therapist registered within the Sero app.
  • Consent to Share: By choosing to connect, you explicitly authorize your therapist to view your app data, including progress, reports, mood tracking, personal notes, and questionnaire results.
  • User Control: You retain full control over this connection. You may replace your connected therapist or terminate data sharing at any time through the app settings. Once sharing is revoked, the therapist will no longer have access to real-time updates or new data.

    • How We Use Your Information

    We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
  • Provide, operate, and maintain our app.
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our app.
  • Understand and analyze how you use our app.
  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
  • Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the app, and for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • Send you emails.
  • Find and prevent fraud.

    • Log Files

    Sero follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log users when they visit apps. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, device type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

    Cookies and Web Beacons

    Like any other website, Sero uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the app that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

    Privacy Policies of Third Parties

    Note that Sero has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

    CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

    You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting the personal data that We have collected about You.
    Our service may give you the ability to delete certain information about You from within the Service.

    Children's Privacy

    Our service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

    If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers. If we need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing information and your country requires consent from a parent, we may require parental consent before we collect and use that information.
